Getting clicks from Google Ads but not sure where calls are coming from?
Hey marketers,
I’ve been running Google Ads for a while now, and while performance looks solid in terms of clicks and CTR, I feel like I’m missing a big piece of the puzzle—phone call conversions.
A lot of our customers prefer calling directly instead of filling out forms, especially for high-ticket services. But the issue is, it’s really hard to track:
- Which keywords are driving calls
- Which campaigns are actually converting into real conversations
- How many calls we’re missing due to no tracking setup
Google Ads does have call extensions, but it still doesn’t give complete visibility into the full journey.
I’ve recently been exploring call tracking tools (like CallAtlas) that assign unique numbers and track calls per campaign/keyword. Seems like a good way to connect clicks → calls → conversions.
Just curious:
👉 Are you guys tracking calls from Google Ads?
👉 Any tools or setups you’d recommend?
👉 Has it actually improved your ROI tracking and optimization?
Would love to hear your experience before I fully implement this.
